A person who holds an Indian passport but stays outside India for more than 182 days in a year is termed as a Non Resident Indian. Similarly, a person who either previously held an Indian passport and now has a foreign nationality, or whose parents are/were Indian, or who married an Indian is known as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO).
We can help insure NRI (Non Resident Indian) or PIO (Person of Indian Origin). A foreign national can also be insured if he has an Indian PAN card, Bank account and Indian income.
Most of the life products are available for NRIs. However, the list of Standard / Substandard / Decline countries is dynamic and hence are subject to change based on various factors. The underwriter’s decision on the application will be final.
